There are two kinds of methods of extracting edible oil from plants, that is the leaching method (chemical) and squeezing method (physical):

Press has a long history, and its process is relatively simple: the oil steamed, fried after using mechanical method of oil squeezed out from oil. At the other hand, cooked pressed to the oil-bearing crops before squeezing after drying. The purpose is to reduce raw material moisture and increase the oil molecules are active and liquidity, and improve the rate of oil and ensure the oily smell fragrant.
